David
Rutstein - The first person to receive a fine for holding a
sign in the city of Jerusalem. Shimon Peres must have made a
phone call.
I
have been walking around with the "Shimon
Peres ordered the murder of Yitzhak Rabin" sign
for a week or so. Finally tonight at 11:30 pm Officer Ilan saw
me in downtown Jerusalem. Officer Ilan called his superiors
and I was given a fine for 430 sheckels for having a sign without
a license. The court date is Nov 28, 2005. Enclosed is the ticket.
There is a picture of officer Ilan calling his superiors as
well as me in the Jewish market of Jerusalem with the sign.
Apparently, the city of Jerusalem got orders to stop me based
on an unlicensed sign. Also enclosed is the small flyer that
I give people when they look amazed at the sign and ask "what's
that." My lawyer is working to get the ticket thrown out
of court.
